Hicks takes on warehousing

June 10 - UK-based Hicks Logistics is expanding into warehousing following the acquisition of an industrial unit next to its existing headquarters in South Wales, in a move which will see ten new staff join the company.

The family-owned and managed business that was started in 1978 by managing director Terry Hicks, runs a fleet of 65 vehicles, specialising in transporting plant and construction equipment.

Hicks said: "The expansion into offering warehouse services is a natural one and has been driven by demand from our customer base. It broadens the range of services we can offer and will support the growth of the  business."
