October 16 - German company, A.M. Kran Wind GmbH has purchased three of Nooteboom's latest three-axle Super Wing Carriers.
To extend its activities in the wind energy industry, Kran Wind, which has been active in Germany for more than two years and is owned by Maciej Gozdzik, is investing heavily in innovative transport solutions for transporting wind turbines.
With the acquisition of the quadruple-extendible wing carriers from Nooteboom, Kran Wind says it can now transport rotor blades of up to 70 m in length within Europe.
This latest version of the three-axle Super Wing Carrier, the Quatro Tele-PX, is based on the technologies of the MCO-PX semi low-loader and has a much lower load floor, which means that transport height when passing under viaducts is less of a problem.
In addition to this, later this year Kran Wind will take delivery of a Nooteboom Mega Windmill Transporter to move tower sections and turbines.
