K+N said that from 2023 onwards, 135,000 spare wind turbine parts including electronic components, hazardous goods, and large units will be stored in the centre each year.

The range of services include storage, packing and load consolidation to order picking for outgoing orders and their dispatch, including Customs clearance, and direct deliveries to wind turbines.

On the partnership, Gianfranco Sgro, member of the management board of K+N, responsible for contract logistics, said: “The cooperation between Vestas and K+N points the way to a sustainable future. Our focus is to stand by Vestas and its end customers, to support the lifecycle of every wind turbine with the spare part it needs worldwide.”
