November 29 - Mammoet USA has completed the expansion of its site at Port Freeport in Texas, USA.
The expansion, which Mammoet says doubled the size of its site, allows the company to accommodate the increased demand to bring in, store and distribute equipment to nearby projects.
"There is strong economic expansion in the Gulf Coast area and our customers are looking for the most efficient ways in which their plant construction and site maintenance can be accommodated. As many heavy and oversized components are sourced from outside the USA, Mammoet USA sees an increased demand for factory-to-foundation, transloading and laydown services," explains Patrick van der Meide, vice president of sales and marketing, Mammoet USA South.

According to Mammoet, the port location offers 10 acres (4 ha) of usable space, as well as two locations for ro-ro operations.
