For over 25 years, Pro-Pac International has served as one of North and South Carolina’s leading rigging, transportation and export crating suppliers. J&J Machinery Transport, Pro-Pac’s sister company, has more than 30 years of experience providing customers with heavy haul and oversized transport services.

Jim Jones, previous co-owner and president of Pro-Pac and J&J will continue to lead the day-to-day operations of both companies under MEI’s ownership.

Earlier in July, private equity firm Olympus Partners acquired MEI. Dan Cappello, ceo of MEI, said: “I am confident that Olympus is the right financial partner to facilitate MEI’s next phase of growth. Our best-in-class team has made great progress in building a national platform for our services, but we’ve only scratched the surface of the potential growth opportunities that lie ahead for MEI.”

MEI specialises in rigging, machinery moving, millwrighting, mechanical installation, industrial storage, crating and export packing services.
