Milwaukee appoints Vornholt

June 5 - Paul Vornholt has been appointed municipal port director at the Port of Milwaukee, having served as acting port director for the past two-and-a-half years.

Vornholt was nominated by mayor of Milwaukee, Tom Barrett, before being confirmed by the Milwaukee Common Council and sworn into office yesterday, June 4.

Before joining the port, Vornholt directed the City of Milwaukee's intergovernmental relations division and prior to that he worked with the Wisconsin Department of Justice.

"His financial stewardship, administrative leadership and strategic approach have put our port on solid footing," said mayor Barrett.
