December 18 - A new project freight forwarder network - Project Freight Net (PFN) - has been launched.

PFN says that its network will comprise of trusted members that can rely on each other to have the best quality represented and to have the systems to collaborate with.

New members will go through a qualification process to ensure they meet the network's high standards before being accepted, said PFN. The network added that it will focus on quality rather than quantity in its membership.

The new network will also offer its members online systems - such as projeXsmart and PFNLead - to advance their processes and efficiency.

PFN says that in these "times of economic turmoil and a strong decline in industrial projects" it is important to be part of a network that looks out for the members.

The network, which has a number of members already, expects to have reached 30 members by the fourth quarter of 2016 and 100 before the end of 2017.
