Swedish shipowner and investment company Wallenius Lines has appointed Erik Nøklebye as its ceo, effective October 1.
Nøklebye has extensive experience in the shipping and PCTC segment, working within different parts of the organisation since the foundation of Wallenius Wilhelmsen Lines in 1999.
He has worked at both Wallenius Wilhelmsen and Eukor, and previously served as executive vice president and chief operating officer, shipping services at Wallenius Wilhelmsen. He stepped down from that role in June 2022 and was succeeded by Xavier Leroi.
In his new role, Nøklebye will succeed Jonas Kleberg, who will remain chairman of Wallenius Lines.
