Quality Freight UK has rebranded as Peel Ports Logistics.

Peel Ports Group acquired Quality Freight in May 2019, as HLPFI reported here

Mark Whitworth, ceo at Peel Ports, said that the rebranding strategy was “the next natural step to take” since the acquisition.

“Our ambition has always been to provide our customers with end-to-end supply chain solutions across the UK to simplify and boost efficiencies in supply customer supply chain models,” he added.

Sebastian Gardiner remains managing director of the company. He said: “Both myself and the senior management team at both Quality Freight UK and Peel Ports Group are looking forward to the future and this next stage of the acquisition.”

The company provides chartering and a range of port services from a 40-acre (16.2-ha) multimodal facility at Ellesmere Port in Cheshire. Recently, it expanded its shortsea port operations to include Runcorn on the Manchester Ship Canal.

Since its rebuild in 2017, the facilities at Runcorn boast an increased load-bearing capacity, can accommodate cranes and specialist handling equipment, and has open and covered storage space options. According to Peel Ports Logistics, it is an ideal solution for bulk and project cargo.
