February 8 - The Project Professionals Group (PPG) held its ninth annual conference in Mumbai, India from February 3-5, which PPG general manager Kevin Stephens said was a "very successful event".

The conference included presentations from Adani Ports, Bahri, Port of Antwerp, MSC, Port of Vancouver and Flinter, as well as new member presentations from Hemisphere Freight Services in the UK, Heavy Logistics in Belgium, CTD DO Brasil and Portugal's Linuship Transitarios.

To celebrate the group's tenth anniversary, PPG will be holding its 2017 conference in Melbourne, Australia.

"Many of our current members have been part of PPG since day one and celebrating our tenth anniversary is a significant milestone for our network," said Stephens

"Australia also continues to outperform many of its trading partners despite sluggish international economic growth around the world and I am sure meeting in Australia will be a timely opportunity to explore business growth opportunities."

The conference hotel and event dates will be announced soon, said PPG.

Meanwhile, registrations are open for the Certificate of Achievement in Project Cargo Management training course, which is being held at the InterContinental Shanghai Expo Hotel from March 14-15 alongside the Breakbulk China exhibition.
