With immediate effect, Maritime London chief executive Jos Standerwick has joined the Baltic Exchange as head of membership, as part of a pre-agreed succession strategy.

Standerwick will continue to provide consultancy services to Maritime London for the next six months whilst the firm searches to fill the vacancy.
“Jos joined Maritime London in 2017 and has helped navigate the organisation through an unprecedented period of regulatory and geopolitical change,” said Maritime London chair Harry Theochari.
Standerwick, who is a council member of the Baltic Exchange, has more than 15 years’ experience working in the maritime industry, having started out with Seafarers UK in 2012.
HLPFI reported last year that the Baltic Exchange had launched a fuel equivalence converter, along with adding biofuel blends to its emissions calculator earlier in the year.
