Project logistics firm WR Logistics has appointed Shadi Alkhatib as ceo for Saudi Arabia, effective immediately.
Based in Dammam, Alkhatib will lead WR Logistics’ operations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, directing project delivery, customer engagement, and market development.
Alkhatib brings over 23 years of senior experience in supply chain and logistics, including leadership roles at Técnicas Reunidas and Gulf Cooperation Symbols Contracting. He has managed logistics for large scale EPC, oil and gas, and industrial projects across Saudi Arabia and the wider Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
“Saudi Arabia is a cornerstone of regional trade and industrial development, with tremendous opportunities created by investment in energy, infrastructure, and diversification,” said Alkhatib. “I am honoured to be joining WR Logistics at this pivotal stage, and my focus will be on ensuring clients benefit from reliable solutions while fully integrating the Kingdom into WR Logistics’ global network.”
Wadim Rosenstein, chairman of WR Group Holding, added: “Shadi’s appointment reflects our long-term commitment to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, a market with significant potential and opportunities across industrial and infrastructure projects.”
Last week, HLPFI reported that Yang Jung Min had been appointed as head of Asia and regional director for WR Logistics, with the company selecting Miguel Salas as ceo for Spain earlier in the month.
