December 20 - Germany's Mayer Autokran-Vermietung has taken delivery of a Demag AC 160-5 all terrain crane.
According to Mayer Autokran-Vermietung's ceo, Erich Mayer, the company selected the 160-tonne capacity AC 160-5 because of its compact design, manoeuvrability and high lifting capacity with a long reach.
Mayer added: "The AC 160-5 will be our new multipurpose weapon for increased requirements in the local area - and especially on construction sites with shorter deployment times."
The crane has already started work on a production site of foil manufacturer EK-Pack Folien in Germany, where it is being used to lift precast parts weighing 30 tonnes each.
