February 3 - Five years after Derwent Shipping and Logistics was formed to provide freight forwarding services specialising in abnormal loads and project cargo, the company has rebranded and will now trade as DSL Global Freight.

Over the last five years, the company says it has expanded its service portfolio to include UK and European haulage, container shipping for imports and exports, as well as plant and machinery removals.

The company's rebranding is accompanied by the launch of a new website.

Recently, DSL Global Freight shipped two out-of-gauge storage tanks from the UK to southern Ireland. These abnormal loads were at their maximum road-going heights so careful route surveys were carried out.
