The ring climbing cylinders provide incremental lifting up to 23.6 inches (0.6 m). Each portable cylinder has a lifting capacity of 100 tons (90.7 tonnes) and eliminates the need for stacking wood or filler blocks.

The equipment is ideal for challenging locations with limited access, said Engineered Rigging, including low-height bridge lift operations, bridge bearing replacement and lifting large or heavy industrial components such as transformers and other machines with low clearance lifting pockets.

A set is comprised of four double-acting aluminium cylinders, stacking rings, insert blocks and a fork accessory to safely place the stacking rings. With the addition of a split flow pump, the operator can lift or lower the component into place with all points synchronised.

Earlier this year, Engineered Rigging partnered with Holmatro to exclusively rent and sell products from the company’s industrial line of equipment in the USA. In addition to the ring climbing cylinders, shipments of Holmatro’s 200-tonne capacity lightweight skidding system and dynamic testing system will be delivered to Engineered Rigging’s Arkansas fabrication facility and equipment yard.

The company has also expanded its rental fleet with equipment from Enerpac, adding SBL500 and SBL600 hydraulic gantries earlier this year.
