Burger Crane Company, a Chilean crane rental firm, has taken delivery of a Grove GHC130 from Manitowoc.

The telescopic crawler crane is currently being put to work at a mine near Santiago. Raul Burger, ceo, said: "The Grove GHC130 has a much shorter set up time when compared to conventional cranes."

The GHC130 has a lifting capacity of 120 tonnes and a main boom length of 40.2 m.

According to Manitowoc, the crawler tracks can handle a wide range of jobsite conditions, for example, steep or swampy terrain. Burger's GHC130 will be used in mining and wind energy projects in Chile.

This is Burger's third Grove crane, joining two all-terrain models already in its fleet.
