Mammoet has acquired Land & Marine’s linear winch equipment fleet and associated pipe pulling equipment from J Murphy & Sons.
The equipment includes two 800-tonne capacity linear winches of a patented design that allows socket passing under load and utilises advanced hydraulic controls for accurate monitoring. This results in less downtime and increased project efficiency, said Mammoet.
Also included in the deal are several smaller linear winches ranging from 100-tonne to 300-tonne capacity, and a range of drum winches. The equipment will be added to Mammoet’s offshore services fleet.
