USA-headquartered Engineered Rigging has added a Foxtrot SOLO 20 motorised dolly kit – including the SOLO 20 robotic skate – to its bare rental fleet.

Designed to move heavy loads in confined spaces, the Foxtrot SOLO weighs just 220 lbs (0.1 tonnes) yet has a load capacity of up to 20 tons (18.1 tonnes); it can move equipment at speeds up to 26 ft (7.92 m) per minute. “This tool is small in stature but packed with features to relocate or install equipment safely and efficiently,” said Mike Beres, vice president of Engineered Rigging.
Integrated lifting lugs allow for safe handling and accelerate setup. Using two toe jacks, an operator can lift the load, slide the SOLO 20 robotic dolly and SK20 follower skates underneath, and begin operation. An onboard lithium battery allows for up to six hours use, charges are completed in three hours, and batteries can be swapped under load to minimise downtime.
As well as being operated via a wireless remote control, safety features include a certified emergency stop and a signalling horn, along with a cord-free battery.

Engineered Rigging’s SOLO 20 bare rental kit includes a robotic dolly, two SK20 follower skates each with an adjustable alignment bar, a rugged remote controller, a large saddle plate, two lithium batteries, magnetic safety blocks, plus a 110-volt battery charger. The worksite spot has a dedicated spot for each component, enhancing kit transportability.
Beres added that: “Upon delivery, clients will find everything they need to begin work immediately. A lot of thought went into the packaging to make it rental friendly.”
In November, Engineered Rigging purchased six Holmatro skidding systems.
