Nordic Crane takes six

February 23 - Nordic Crane Group has purchased six Grove cranes - a GMK5130-2, a GMK6300L and four GMK5220 models - from Manitowoc dealer Normann Olsen.

The Grove GMK5130-2 all-terrain crane has a capacity of 130 tonnes and a 60 m twin-lock boom; while the 220-tonne capacity GMK5220 features a 68 m boom, which can be extended to 105 m with a jib. The 300-tonne capacity GMK6300L offers an 80 m long boom and can be extended further with a 37 m jib.

One of the Grove GMK5220 cranes was put straight to work on an oil platform in the North Sea where it was tasked with dismantling a derrick tower.
