November 9 - UK-based JB Rawcliffe & Sons has replaced its Hitachi KH300/1 crawler crane with the IHI CCH 1200, at its facility in Skelmersdale, Lancashire.

According to Rawcliffe, the replacement crane has a lifting capacity of 120,000 kg (120 tonnes) at a 5 m radius.

The primary use of the crane is for the placement of goods into outside storage, says Rawcliffe, with the crane available for the transhipment of goods from one vehicle to another.

For heavier loads, Rawcliffe is able to offload units using hydraulic gantry lift systems or jacking and skidding.
