Germany-based Wiemann has taken delivery of a Demag AC 100-4L all-terrain crane, which will be based at its location in Gierstädt.
The crane features a lifting capacity of 100 tonnes and a main boom length of 59.4 m.
General manager, Martin Wiemann, explained: “With a width of only 2.55 m, the AC 100-4L is the most compact crane in its category, making it ideal for work sites where space is tight.”
Total cargo throughput of the port of Antwerp-Bruges amounted to 70.4 million tonnes in the first quarter of 2024, an increase of 2.4 percent compared to the same period last year, with container throughput increasing and the general cargo sector showing signs of recovery.
