July 16 - Barkmeijer Stroobos has delivered the vessel Marietje Nora to Danser van Gent.

This 1A ice-classed multipurpose vessel is the fourth and last vessel for the Danser van Gent / Royal Wagenborg combination to be built by Barkmeijer.

The engine room is equipped with a 2999 kW 9L27/38 (800 mw/min) B&W MAN-diesel engine, producing a speed of 14 knots.

Her sister vessels Marietje Andrea (delivered November 2009), Marietje Marsilla (November 2010) and Marietje Deborah (July 2011) all have a capacity of 8,300 tonnes.

By lengthening the last hold by 10 m, Marietje Nora has a maximum capacity of 9,000 tonnes at maximum draught.

The delivery of Marietje Nora marks the end of an impressive newbuilding programme for Royal Wagenborg and its affiliated captain owners, which started in 1988.
