Blue Tern to complete Trianel work

Fred. Olsen Windcarrier will use its jack-up vessel Blue Tern to install 11 Senvion 6.2M152 turbines at the Trianel Windpark Borkum II, located in the North Sea.

Fred. Olsen Windcarrier’s related company, Global Wind Service, is contracted for the installation of all 32 turbines at the offshore wind farm.

Kristina Pind Løvgren, head of nautical at Fred. Olsen Windcarrier, said: “Blue Tern is ideal for this project due to her capacity. Our related company, Global Wind Service, is already on the project and delivers technicians, quality assurance (QA) and site management for the installation and mechanical completion of the turbines.”

The installation of the remaining 11 turbines will complete the 200 MW offshore wind farm, which is located 45 km off the northern coast of Borkum Island, Germany.
