Chipolbrok’s multipurpose vessel Chipolbrok Star called at the port of Bilbao during December to offload wind energy components.

After calling in Bilbao, the vessel unloaded steel in Antwerp before continuing on to Cuxhaven to discharge 57 m-long wind turbine blades. The next port of call was Esbjerg where wind turbine tower sections were delivered.

The European leg of its journey also saw parts of a cement factory loaded on board in Hamburg. The consignment included a 201-tonne gearbox, which will be delivered to Karachi, Pakistan.

Meanwhile, Chipolbrok’s multipurpose vessel Paderewski called at Rotterdam to discharge a consignment of steel. The ship moved on to Antwerp – where approximately 10,000 tonnes of steel products were loaded – and Hamburg to collect nearly 1,800 tonnes of general and project cargo.

On arrival in Gijon, Spain, 5,500 tonnes of rail equipment, destined for India, was also stowed in the lower holds of Paderewski.
