June 6 - Damen has delivered a ro-ro ferry to a client in Gambia onboard BigLift Shipping's Happy River.
The hull of the ferry was constructed at Damen's subsidiary Niron Staal in Amsterdam, before the outfitting was carried out at Damen Shipyards Gorinchem, the Netherlands.
The vessel was transported on the heavy lift vessel to the Port of Banjul, where it will operate from the capital to Barra, across the mouth of the Gambia River.
