Liebherr lands large Al Faris order

Al Faris Group has ordered 69 Liebherr mobile and crawler cranes.

The Dubai-based crane rental and heavy lift specialist’s order comprises two 50-tonne capacity LTC 1050-3.1s, mobile cranes with lifting capacities ranging from 55 to 600 tonnes, and three crawler cranes with lifting capacities from 400 to 800 tonnes.

The order is worth approximately EUR80 million (USD87.5 million) and includes 12 230-tonne capacity LTM 1230-5.1 models.

A 500-tonne capacity LTM 1500-8.1 was delivered in February.

Two LTM 1650-8.1 cranes, with a maximum lifting capacity of 650 tonnes, are scheduled for delivery in 2022.

In addition to the LR 1400/1 and LR 1600/2 crawler cranes, Al Faris also decided to purchase the new 800-tonne capacity LR 1800-1.0, which Liebherr launched in mid-2018.
