Swire and Lodestar team up for breakbulk service

Swire Shipping and Lodestar plans to launch a joint breakbulk shipping service between New Zealand and North Asia.

The monthly service connects the ports of Napier and Tauranga in New Zealand to key Asian ports, including Incheon, Qingdao, Lianyungang, Onsan, Tomakomai and Kaohsiung.

Three Saiki-class bulk vessels (38,000 dwt) will be deployed on the service – Glorious Saiki, Furness Portland and Furness Southern Cross.

Lodestar is the logistics and shipping division of Oji Fibre Solutions.
