White appointed at Wallenius Wilhelmsen

Wallenius Wilhelmsen has appointed Simon White to the newly created position of chief digital officer.

White joined Wilhelmsen Lines in 1995 and held various positions within the company’s commercial, operations and technology in Australia, Norway, Belgium and Sweden.

White joined UECC as senior vice president of trade and operations in 2008, before returning to Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics in 2014.

He said that digital technology is already revolutionising the logistics industry, adding: “Digital solutions and new technologies will support us to enhance the services we provide our customers, optimise supply chains and help reach our environmental targets.”
