Augizeau Transports Exceptionnels, a subsidiary of Groupe Capelle, has delivered the components for the first V163 wind turbines installed in France on behalf of Vestas. For the move, Augizeau debuted its BladeLifter BladeMAX1000 from Cometto.

Augizeau used specially equipped dollies on blade carriers to transport the components that arrived at the port of Montoir. Simultaneously, the nacelles, towers, and other components, were delivered from the port of Radicatel.

The wind turbine components were transported between Chablis and Vézannes, where ultimately the wind turbines – each reaching heights of over 100 m – will be deployed at the 13.2 MW Des Pivoines wind farm.

“We can now operate this equipment throughout Europe,” explained Coralyne Droz, head of the wind power division at Augizeau. “The BladeMAX1000 enables us to transport blades of unlimited dimensions with a lifting angle of up to 60 degrees, delivering exceptional service in line with the high expectations of wind farm developers and turbine manufacturers.”

Augizeau now has three blade lifters and numerous semi-trailers, with plans to continue investing in its fleet.

Earlier this year, the BladeMAX1000 made its debut in Germany.
