Germany-based Viktor Baumann has transported a piece of Bonn’s governmental history – the Bundesbüdchen – back to its former site.

The kiosk, which is listed as part of the city’s cultural heritage, had to be removed from the site in 2006. Since then, it has been stored on Viktor Baumman’s premises in Bornheim.

After 14 years in storage, the Bundesbüdchen returned to the city in late May. The unit measured 6.86 m wide.

The kiosk was then placed on the new foundations using a 300-tonne capacity LTM 1300-6.2 mobile crane, fitted with a 96-tonne counterweight.
