China-headquartered project logistics firm Protranser has delivered workover rigs from Lianyungang, China to Kuwait.
More than 9,300 cu m of workover rigs were delivered, totalling 243 pieces with a combined weight of 1,850 tonnes. The heaviest piece weighed 62 tonnes.
Protranser was responsible for port services, Customs declaration, as well as providing surveys and chartering the breakbulk vessel that was used to transport the cargo.
Despite the rigs arriving late at the port after the vessel had berthed, Protranser coordinated with the port authority and Customs to ensure that the cargo’s packing was carried out within the limited timeframe it had available.
Back in 2023, Protranser coordinated the delivery of 3,421 cu m of cargo from Türkiye to Kuwait. More recently, the company teamed up with Sea Cargo Air Cargo Logistics (SCACLI) to ship transformers from China to Canada.
