BNSF Logistics (BNSFL) has transported three 208.8-tonne transformers from the port of Houston to North Liberty, Indiana.

The BNSFL rail solutions team coordinated the transport of the transformers, which measured 9.33 m x 3.84 m x 4.6 m each.

The units were discharged from the multipurpose vessel Rickmers Hamburg directly onto railcars, before they were moved by rail.

In North Liberty, it took the BNSFL team 12 days to tranship the components from the railcars onto trailers for final delivery to the project site.

BNSFL is a member of the Worldwide Project Consortium (WWPC) in the USA.
