UPF Group will soon begin a joint sales effort with Afrilink Ocean for a direct coastal breakbulk liner service connecting Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, and Mombasa, Kenya, focusing on southbound cargoes into South Africa.

The initiative follows what UPF Group described as “another remarkable year” for the company, during which it continued its expansion across Southern, Eastern and Central Africa.

A particular highlight was the opening of a branch in Douala, Cameroon, which bolstered UPF’s presence in Central Africa and enhanced connectivity between inland markets and key coastal gateways.

The company added that it also continued developing its “corridor coverage” to support regional trade and complex project cargo movements. Speaking of its corridor mapping approach, UPF Group said: “These corridor maps factor in infrastructure realities, port capabilities, border processes, and operational risk, enabling faster decisions, greater cost certainty, and reliable execution for heavy lift, project and specialised cargo.

“The result is clearer routing, reduced risk and logistics solutions designed around how cargo actually moves.”
