According to Bragg Companies, the technically challenging move has never-before been accomplished outside of a NASA or Air Force facility.

It saw the company deploy its Enerpac cube jack lifting system to raise Endeavour before using Goldhofer SPMTs to manoeuvre the 122 ft (37.2 m) shuttle from the west side of the centre to the construction site.

A Liebherr LR1750 crawler crane in addition to two mobile cranes were then used to lift and set the 176,000-lb (80-tonne) Endeavour.
