Project freight forwarder DAKO Worldwide Transport has delivered five ship engines from Mannheim, Germany, to a shipyard in northern Italy.

Each engine measured 7.9 m x 3.2 m x 4.35 m and weighed up to 91 tonnes apiece. DAKO initially loaded the engines onto an inland vessel in Mannheim, transported them to Rotterdam, and then transferred them onto a multipurpose vessel for the last leg to Italy.
Earlier this month, HLPFI reported that DAKO had completed its scope for the Dolores wind farm in Nuevo León, Mexico, delivering 114 wind turbine blades, meanwhile last month the company appointed Janne Zips as branch manager of its Bremen office.
