Deufol Döhle Projects (DDP) and ARC Logistics, both members of the XLProjects (XLP) network, have collaborated on the delivery of critical cargo for a project in New South Wales, as part of the ongoing growth of the Australian renewables and infrastructure sector.

The cargo originated in Europe, with DDP in Germany managing the FOB coordination as well as the selection of a part-chartered vessel to depart from the Wallmann Terminal in Hamburg.

This included the consolidation of all cargo at the Duefol hub in Hamburg and completion of Customs clearance formalities prior to sailing.

Originally scheduled to call at the port of Melbourne, the vessel had to be rerouted to the port of Newcastle due to announced industrial action, causing significant uncertainty and change of plans.

ARC Logistics, working hand in hand with the international teams of DDP as nominated destination agent for this project, swiftly adjusted the arrangements and managed to receive the cargo at the newly nominated entry port in Newcastle without delay.

ARC also provided a rapidly arranged temporary storage solution by teaming up with other cargo owners, who had other shipments aboard the same vessel.

With all imported accessories swiftly expedited to the two job sites in New South Wales, further heavy lift items will soon be transported to their final destination, once site preparations are complete and in line with the initial project schedule.
