The pipes measured 19.6 m long, 6.5 m wide and 3.8 m high. EXG was responsible for securing several permits and approvals from different authorities, including those required in order to berth a container vessel at a breakbulk terminal.

By shipping aboard a container vessel, EXG said that it was able to keep costs lower for the client. For loading, an additional shore crane was arranged at short notice to accomodate the weight and dimensions of the cargo.

EXG’s scope included coordination with the shipping line, terminal and port officials; under hook cargo acceptance; Customs clearance; and onward transport and delivery to the final site. EXG’s partner in Oman organised the removal of obstacles along the transport route.
