G2 Ocean completed the delivery of a 367-tonne reactor from Rotterdam to Houston aboard its vessel Star Istind – the heaviest piece of cargo the shipping line has moved to date.

The reactor measured 10 m x 7.76 m x 7.38 m; due to the dimensions and weight of the cargo, two floating cranes were used to load the piece at the Port of Rotterdam. The cargo was safely discharged at in Houston on July 23.

“This is a significant accomplishment for our team and demonstrates our commitment to providing our customers with the highest level of service and expertise,” said Scott Krantzcke, managing director of the Atlantic region at G2 Ocean.

The move was executed on behalf deugro’s Indian projects division.
