China Shipping Vastwin Project Logistics, a subsidiary of COSCO, has used 300 Scheuerle SPMTs to move five historical buildings at the Ningxia Saishang Jiangnan Museum located in the north of the country.
The buildings had to be relocated 600 m for environmental protection requirements, overcoming a steep incline along the route. The complex comprised a main building weighing a massive 10,000 tonnes, as well as two outbuildings each weighing 2,000 tonnes, along with an archway and a partition wall, each weighing 1,000 tonnes. The heaviest individual transport weighed a total of 11,450 tonnes.
For the transport of the 43 m-high, 36.9 m-long and 31.5 m-wide main building, 300 axle lines of SPMTs and 10 power pack units (PPUs) were deployed.
