Multipurpose operator Swire Projects has delivered a full load of conveyor trusses and structural steel from Dongguan, China, to Kitimat, Canada.

The 8,937 cu m shipment weighed 1,127 tons (1,022.4 tonnes) and was shipped onboard Swire Projects’ F-Type 12,700 dwt vessel Pacific Fortitude.

Destined for a mining client and its operations in Kitimat, the conveyor trusses and structural steel will enhance operational efficiency, reduce maintenance needs, and promote longer-term operational sustainability at the site, said Swire Projects.

Swire Projects added that it regularly handles heavy lift and project cargo for the mining sector, including excavators, drilling rigs, and conveyor systems. It recently delivered four GW165/6.0MW Goldwind wind turbines for the Bellevue Gold Project in Western Australia, where the large-scale gold mining operation is developing hybrid power station in collaboration with Zenith Energy.
