Wallenius Wilhelmsen and project freight forwarder Fracht Group have teamed up to deliver a 334-tonne generator stator from Germany to Australia, marking the heaviest single breakbulk piece ever carried by the ro-ro shipping group.

Alongside the 334-tonne Siemens Energy stator, Wallenius Wilhelmsen and Fracht delivered a 90-tonne rotor. Both required advanced planning and custom transport solutions, which involved a specialised trailer designed to safely accommodate the size and weight of the components.
After arriving at the port of Brisbane, Australia, the stator was unloaded from the vessel Salome, ready for onward travel.
Earlier this month, Wallenius Wilhelmsen released its Q3 2025 figures, meanwhile last month Fracht Group North America appointed Alexander Vinck as director, global metals and commodities.
