Freight Traders was tasked with the delivery of the generator from Sweden and enlisted the help of SaCeMa Nordic Projects. The main generator measured 6.65 m x 4.05 m x 3.61 m and was accompanied by 60 cu m of miscellaneous parts and accessories.

SaCeMa collected the generator and delivered it to the port in icy conditions. It was then shipped to New Zealand, where the team at Freight traders were on hand to receive and deliver the shipment directly to site for immediate installation.

Another collaboration of XLP members, meanwhile, has seen Greece-based Manuport Logistics and Scotland’s Cardinal Global Logistics transport a 55-tonne waterfall winch.

The cargo was delivered from Scotland to Greece and required the coordination of specialised equipment. A crane was mobilised to lift the heavy cargo onto a specialised truck for transport to the port of loading. Here, it was reloaded onto a Mafi trailer for onward delivery.
