Jumbo appoints Tecnoil as Brazilian agent

August 4 - Dutch heavy lift shipping and offshore installation company Jumbo has appointed Tecnoil Comercio e Representacoes Ltda as its agent in Brazil.

Tecnoil has been active in the energy market since 1973. Together with Tecnoil, Jumbo aims to further strengthen its position in the Brazilian Oil & Gas market, offering clients both innovative solutions in offshore installation as well as heavy lift transportation.

Erik Kleijn, proposals and contracts manager, says, "Jumbo considers Brazil to be a growth market in heavy lift and offshore installation. Therefore it is important for Jumbo to work together with a local agency which understands and knows the Brazilian market. Tecnoil is such an agent."

For over 30 years Tecnoil has been successful and became a major player in the Brazilian energy market. Throughout its history, Tecnoil has gained the necessary experience and knowhow to keep up to date with the increasing challenges of the Brazilian market. All Tecnoil's operations have a common base: creativeness, innovation and attention to details.

Offshore and shipping activities increase rapidly in Brazil. Jumbo can add value in both markets, offering the highest standards in safety and reliability. With its two DP2 offshore heavy lift vessels Jumbo provides innovative services in upstream projects, especially deepwater projects. In addition Jumbo, with its fleet of 12 heavy lift vessels, offers total transport solutions for heavy lift cargo. The cooperation with Tecnoil draws on a strong focus on the oil and gas industry, but Jumbo can also provide services in other industries, such as mining and power generation.
