January 8 - The keel laying ceremony has taken place for the first of two United European Car Carriers (UECC) pure car and truck carriers (PCTC) at the NACKS shipyard in Nantong, China.
The newbuilding, to be named Auto ECO, is part of a contract signed for two dual-fuel LNG PCTCs with 1A Super Finnish/Swedish ice class.
Auto ECO is scheduled for launch in mid April 2016, with delivery to UECC expected by the end of September 2016.
