July 11 - AAL has successfully delivered and discharged one of the heaviest pieces of cargo the service has ever carried.

The cargo consisted of two LNG tanks, each weighing 380 tonnes with the dimensions 26 m x 8.3 m, and a main engine weighing 384 tonnes and measuring 12 m x 5 m.

They were discharged in the Port of San Diego and loaded onto the service's A-class vessel, AAL Singapore, in Masan, South Korea.

"Our vessels are well suited for such heavy cargoes and our Pacific Service offers customers a regular heavy lift liner service. We look forward to more opportunities to carry similar and heavier cargoes into the North American regions," said Namir Khanbabi, managing director at AAL.
