September 26 - Brisbane headquartered project forwarder Australian Customs Professionals (ACP) completed the shipment of a glass-bottom boat and an aluminium pontoon to Fiji.

The consignment was delivered from Cairns in North Queensland to ACP's Brisbane depot in Brisbane, a distance of 1,700 km. There, the shipment was loaded and wrapped for its trip to Fiji.

In a separate project, a number of Hitachi turbine housings were rejected at Brisbane port due to the state of the timber casings. ACP took over the shipment, manufactured reusable metal pallets for the items and shipped them to Japan.

ACP's Marc Edmonds commented: "We not only handle many of these ourselves, we are taking on the loading and packing for numerous forwarders and shipping lines for project/over-dimensional cargo. We are fast becoming the Pacific island specialists because everyone finds it 'too hard'."
