March 20 - Global logistics provider, Agility has successfully completed the first delivery of equipment for the Caspian Pipeline Consortium, the largest multi-stakeholder organisation operating an investment pipeline project in Russia.

After a 6,000 km transit the cargo including innovative, high-efficiency pump and seal equipment, arrived safely and in perfect condition in Atyrau, Kazakhstan, one week ahead of schedule.

Agility Project Logistics was awarded the contract for this major project by Flowserve Corporation, a leading worldwide provider of flow control products and services to the oil and gas industry and to global infrastructure projects.

"The project was successfully executed against a challenging timeline and required tight coordination of a range of capabilities within the company," said Mike Bible, Agility ceo Europe. "It highlights Agility's heavy-lift capabilities and our ability to offer tailored solutions to the oil and gas industry."

In the project's initial stages, Agility gathered specialised, sometimes delicate equipment from locations across the globe and delivered it to the Flowserve plant in Etten-Leur, Netherlands, where the equipment was then assembled.

Holland Packing then developed specialised packing methods to ensure safe transport to Kazakhstan and minimse further handling of the equipment as the loads made their way by truck to the Port of Sassnitz in Germany and then onto Russian rail for the final stage of their journey to Kazakhstan.
