February -23-Abnormal Load Engineering (ALE) of the UK has formed a new company - ALE Projects - to combine the current heavy lifting and international projects divisions. ALE Projects will focus on international heavy lifting and transport projects.

Following ALE's design and development of a 4,300 tonne capacity crane (the SK90), the new business will also assume responsibility for marketing and operating this crane, designed and built by ALE in 2008 and currently performing its first contract in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

ALE Projects will run multi-disciplinary contracts requiring load-out, land and sea transport, site lifting and installation activities required by the engineering construction industry servicing oil and gas, petrochemical and mineral and metals producers.

The new business brings together ALE Group's project management, engineering and operational capabilities. Based on Teesside, UK, a traditional home of heavy industry, ALE Projects will operate on a worldwide-basis direct with clients and through ALE's global network of regional operating centres.
