ALE replaces ceramic filters

April 12 - ALE Heavylift has carried out the replacement of two ceramic filters in the ELCOGAS thermal plant gasifier in Puetollano, Spain.

The work required both the extraction and installation of the filters through the roof of the gasifier building, at level of more than 76 metres (pictured below).

The company deployed the ALE CC-2800-1 crane to extract the two old filters, weighing 83 tonnes and measuring 3.9 m in diameter and 14 m in length.

Both the new and old filters were transported using SPMTs in 10 x 2 axle-lines configuration.

All the work was completed over four consecutive days.
