January 18 - Heavy lift and OOG shipment network AOP Project Partners has changed its name to Project Partners, effective immediately.

According to a statement, this was very important to show that the Project Partners network is not just a subsidiary network of Air & Ocean Partners, but is a standalone and independent platform for project professionals. More information can be found on the network's new website: www.p-p-network.com

Meanwhile, the Project Cargo Network (PCN), formed last year, is to hold its first annual summit later this year, says chair Rachel Humphrey.

The summit will be held in London from 19-20 November 2011 at the Park Plaza Riverbank Hotel.

Representatives from all major world markets are expected at the two-day conference, which will consist of pre-arranged 1-2-1 business meetings plus a workshop session and social activities.

"The gathering will provide an opportunity for PCN members to meet together in one place at the same time, saving them substantial time away from the office as well as considerable travel expenses," says Humphrey.

"We embrace technology and recently developed our own sophisticated networking facilities including the PCN online networking system and specialist online discussions. However, it is a proven fact that meeting face to face is, and always will be, the key to business success."
